Name: Marek Berry
Where you were born: Dallas, TX
Where you live now: New York City
What are you currently working on?
A collaborative performance art piece that will debut summer ’12 and various creative and commercial photographic projects. I’m always shooting!
What does good energy mean to you?
What do you think there is too much of, and too little of? It seems in urban America there is too much cynicism and too little trust.
With whom would you like most to go on a “ tête à tête”?
Philip Zimbardo, a former Stanford psychology professor who has conducted research on topics such as cult behavior, heroism and most recently the effects of porn and video games on men.
What would you be doing if you didn’t have your current occupation?
I’d be busy being miserable.
What is on your life-to-do list?
Rescue an elderly woman from a burning building.
What’s your earliest memory?
One of my favorite early memories is chasing after the ice cream truck in the sweltering heat in Dallas.
What do you consider a fashion “faux-pas”?
There are so many, but ultimately you can’t wear anything you don’t think is right for you. But Uggs kill me.
What can’t you live without?
Sunshine and good furniture.
What would you like to leave to future generation?
For my family I want to leave an exquisite house in Tulum full of tame jaguars and parrots.
What is your next challenge?
Learn how to tame jaguars and parrots.
What is your WILD Wish?
Love and laughter for all my days.
