YNGBLOOD: ep 2: Natalie Suarez
Natalie Suarez is a Style Influencer. You may have seen her in campaigns for Dolce and Gabanna, Timberland, Nicole Miller, and Mango, but her mode of dress is less identifiable. She describes it as a mix between Janice Joplin and Jane Birkin. A few minutes in Suarez’s online presence and you’ll know what we mean—her aesthetic is at once stunning and effortless. “I never dress for the blog, I’m inspired by living and doing fun things,” she says. As a result, her photos have an authenticity to them, a refreshing quality in a sea of fashion bloggers who never quite look fully themselves. “Always be yourself, people really appreciate that,” Suarez intelligently advises.
The aforementioned blog, Natalie Off Duty, is a peek into Suarez’s world, following her through work and play. She fell into the fashion industry as a model, at the age of 15, and has since been documenting her day to day—traveling, going to castings, meetings, and hanging out with her sister on the off hours. Nowadays, her creative passions permeate everything she does. “It’s always hard to describe what I do—I’m a model, blogger, stylist, designer, and musician.” Her eye for style has bled into all sphere; talent is evident in all of them.
