WILD PROFILE: LAUREN MOFFATT ROLLS UP HER SLEEVES
Who: Lauren Moffatt
What she does: Designer
Where: Her NYC studio
Photo of Lauren, daughter Stella, and Gertie the dog: The Glow Magazine
What she’s currently working on: Reading Yahoo News when I should be working on our Fall 2012 collection.
What inspired her to become a designer: I couldn’t pass math. If I became a fine arts major, I didn’t have to take it. The rest is history…
What her earliest memory is: Hating a turtleneck my mom put me in. The cuffs were really tight, and I couldn’t roll up my sleeves. Being able to roll them up was a very big deal to me.
What her most striking moment is: When my daughter was born – nothing else even comes close.
With whom she would like most to go on a “tête à tête”: Jackie O. I’d ask her why she talks like that.
What cracks her up: Anything Andy Samberg sings.
What kind of movement she would like to start: Bill Maher For President
What she would like to leave to future generations: Clothes. This wish will be granted!
Her WILD wish: Designated streets with moving sidewalk lanes, like they have at the airport.
