Premiere: Stranger Cat Gets Lost In ‘Red’

After years spent backing up artists like Sufjan Stevens, Sharon Van Etten, and Son Lux, Brooklyn’s Cat Martino struck out on her own, releasing her synth-pop debut as Stranger Cat earlier this year. In her new video for “Red,” she channels her album title In The Wilderness. Citing Twin Peaks as an inspiration, the clip follows her as she’s taken on a strange adventure by a magician, played by Charles Schneider. As things get more and more surreal, the song’s dark, eerie qualities get brought out. With her expansive vision, it’s no surprise Stranger Cat is spending this fall on the road with Chad Valley.

In The Wilderness is out now on Joyful Noise. Watch “Red” below and follow Stranger Cat on Facebook and Twitter for more.
