Premiere: Hit The Beach With
Level & Tyson’s ‘No Fun My Head’

Summer may be over, but you can relive warmer days with Level & Tyson’s new video for “No Fun My Head.” Though the fuzzy quintet hails from Norway, they look towards California for the vintage-inspired clip, pairing beaches and palm trees with scenes from closer to home.

“Namra and I are the directors and producers,” bassist and vocalist Sofie Søndervik Sæther tells us via email. “It’s shot around Oslo, and ends up in a party at an overgrown basketball court with the band and a gang of our friends (in my opinion it shows the best of Oslo). The party was very real, haha! The main idea behind it is to play around with music video cliches, we wanted to make the most music video-like music video ever.”

As the gang skates, bikes, and dances around town, Sæther and frontman Richard Noir trade vocals on the slacker-pop gem, taken from Level & Tyson’s new album Gruesome Twosome. “No Fun My Head” captures the low-key malaise of sunny afternoons with not much to do, its easygoing riffs sounding instantly familiar. If you’re in New York, you can catch a rare stateside appearance from the band this week during CMJ. Watch “No Fun My Head” below and follow Level & Tyson on Facebook and Twitter for more.
