Kemp and Eden Release ‘Black Hole Lace’

Kemp and Eden release debut Black Hole Lace

Charlotte Kemp Muhl and Eden Rice have released their debut album as Kemp and Eden, Black Hole Lace. A dreamy record that juxtaposes angelic melodies with feelings of dystopic dissonance, the songs are colored by the duo’s journey from a Normal Rockwell suburb to the lights of New York City.

Muhl and Rice were childhood friends, and the beginnings of Black Hole Lace were written together as young teenagers. Their friendship was anchored by a love for classic literature, music, and ornithology. These mutual interests, with a splash of social commentary, are the basis for the new album.
