At BAM, the Brooklyn Academy of Music, art and technology are often found woven together, creating a new tapestry for dance, music and theater in the modern age. In celebration of BAM’s 30th Next Wave Festival, their 150th anniversary and the opening of their new performance space, the Fishman Space, visual artist Anthony McCall and choreographer Jonah Bokaer have created ECLIPSE, a large scale, multi-medium dance performance with a cinematic viewing experience.

A large light installation (pictured below) hangs above the stage, shifting in patterns and movement to create the score of the dance performed by Bokaer and his company. The audience will be seated on every side of the installation, creating an intimate space shared between performers, installation, and audience.

ECLIPSE will show at the Frishman Space in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, September 5th-9th. There will be a special pre-show artist talk on September 7th. Tickets are $20.
