Fashion Museum of Hasselt Dressing the 20th Century

The works of internationally renowned fashion designers such as Raf Simons and Martin Margiela, and those of upcoming ones like Sophie Claes are currently on display at the Fashion Museum of Hasselt, as a part of the “Dressing the 20th Century“ exhibition.

What do these designers have in common? Well, apart from the obviously remarkable garments, surely the fact that they all come from the Limburg area of Belgium. Although the exposition gives a great focus to designers from this particular Flemish region, it equally showcases garments from international ones. Main part of the exhibition puts forward a chronological trail, portraying womenswear designer outfits from key moments throughout the 20th century.

The museum has recently received a great quantity of essential designs, so it is no wonder that you can come across big names such as ChanelDior  or YSL.
