David Byrne & St. Vincent / Who

David Byrne and Annie Clark look good together, real good. They sound even better. The pair seem to have found cross-generational kindred spirits in one another, and we are the sonic beneficiaries. Their carefully crafted and indulgent (in the best possible sense of the word) brass-infused record, Love This Giant, drops a week from today, but you can get a preview in its entirety over at NPR. For anyone lucky enough to have caught Talking Heads or St. Vincent live, you know those cats have the best dance moves in town; no surprise then that their shakes and swivels synchronize just swimmingly.

Who made a big mistake
Who sees these constellations
Seen in those spinning round
Carry these men and women
Who get lost when the sun goes down?
