A WILD Session with Alberta Cross

Alberta Cross is not a band from Western Canada nor the American Southwest, but you’d be forgiven for mistaking it as such after listening to the rhapsodic studio version of “Ghost of Santa Fe.” It’s a polyphonic anthem taking influence from classic rock but with the horn inflections and chorale fervor of baroque indie. A big sound, to say the least, and all the product of the individual Petter Ericson Stakee, a Swede based in Brooklyn. In this acoustic take, we see the sketched origins of a lofty arrangement.
