A WILD Session with
Angus & Julia Stone

Aussies Angus & Julia Stone stopped off at our place in Brooklyn to share the classic rock grooves from their latest self-titled LP. The record, out now on American Recordings, is chock full of stomps and jangles, perfect for the sunset of summer. The project was produced by music industry legend Rick Rubin, who described the Stone siblings as “authentic and pure people who do things from the heart.” In fact, he said, few people in the business are quite so extraordinary.

For our WILD Session, the pair is guided by the train-track shuffle of a snare and a lonely howl of electric guitars as Angus & Julia sing a long kiss goodbye to a love lost in “Heart Beats Slow.”

I’m gonna miss you
And all of the things we could’ve done

You said I move so fast
That you can hardly see
You said I move so fast
How could you be with me?
